The Rise of Secular Humanism in America

Herbert London wrote the book "America's Secular Challenge: The Rise of a New National Religion." As one of America's leading intellectuals, Herbert London is president of the Hudson Institute, and a noted social critic whose work has appeared in nearly every major newspaper and journal. A contributing editor for the St. Croix Review and the American Arts Quarterly, as well as the author of 21 books, Mr. London argues that the rise of radical secularism in the United States is a flaccid response to the challenge presented by the fanaticism of radical Islam.

Secular Humanism wages war against traditional religion using multiculturalism and cultural relativism, materialism, and a belief in scientific reality as the arbiter of human value. However, this belief in secularism is ill equipped to battle head on the oncoming inroads of fanaticism being waged by a zealous enemy with totalitarian ambitions. Secular Humanism has destroyed the West's only beliefs worth defending, and have left us exposed to the monumental battle on the horizon against the rising scurge of Islamism.

Tonight, at 7pm Pacific, 10pm Eastern, Herb London is my guest on the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution. Listen to the program live, or listen to the archive later: HERE.

Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee Honors Son's Final Wish

As we approach Memorial Day, our hearts go out to our fallen military warriors, their families, and their friends. Our prayers especially go out to the wives and mothers of our lost heroes, for they have lost so much. In the case of Debbie Lee, however, she has taken that loss to fuel what she has to give back, and her work of generosity is driven by the final wishes of her son, Marc Lee, the first Navy Seal to lose his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

"Pass on the kindness, the love, the precious gift of human life to each other so that when your children come in contact with a great conflict that we are now faced with here in Iraq, that they are people of humanity, of pure motives, of compassion." Marc Alan Lee in his last letter to his mother, Debbie Lee.

Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy Seal killed in the war in Iraq. He lost his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom on August 2, 2006. The moments before his death he single-handedly held off enemy fighters as his team rescued a wounded soldier from a rooftop. Debie Lee, his mother, has experienced a torrent of emotions since the day she lost her son. In Marc's final letter to home he wrote of his wish for Americans to support each other with random acts of kindness. With this idea in mind, Debbie began to implement Marc's dream.

In his final letter home, Marc wrote: "When was the last time you paid for a random stranger's cup of coffee, meal or maybe even a tank of gas? . . . Think to yourself and wonder what it would feel like when the bill for the meal came and you were told it was already paid for. More random acts of kindness like this would change our country and our reputation as a country."

Since Marc's death, Debbie Lee has been touring America to honor her son's final wish. She recently established America's Mighty Warriors dedicated to random acts of kindness for military personnel and their families stateside and overseas.

Her first random act of kindness raised money that she included in a condolence card to the family of another fallen soldier. She then took a wife (who was battling breast cancer), daughter, and granddaughter of a deployed soldier to Easter dinner. Debbie Lee heard of a Marine unit in San Diego scheduled to deploy without essential EOD power lock tools, and thanks to America's Mighty Warriors the unit will be traveling with the tools.

On Mother's Day, Debbie took other Gold Star Moms to lunch, followed by a limo ride to a mall where she organized an event based on the hit show "Amazing Race." Clues led moms to retail stores who donated gifts to pamper these women who have lost so much. Plans for a similar Father's Day event is in the works.

Debbie Lee met with President Bush, and appeared onstage at the 2007 Country Music Awards, where Tim McGraw performed his new song "If You're Reading This" which honors those in the U.S. military who gave their lives in service to this nation. she has also traveled to Iraq and Guantanamo Bay to personally thank troops serving overseas.

Tonight, Debbie Lee joins Political Pistachio Radio. Join us live at 7:00 PM Pacific, or listen to the archive later, HERE.

Former Palestinian Terrorist Speaks Out Against Islamic Jihad

Walid Shoebat joins Political Pistachio Radio tonight during the second hour to discuss:

- As the Taliban and Al Qaeda make inroads into Pakistan, it comes as no surprise to Former Terrorist Walid Shoebat because he predicted it over two years ago!

- Iran has a missile that can reach Israel, and their nukes are nearly finished. Now that Israel is in Iran's crosshairs, what, if anything, should the U.S. do?

- FBI foils homegrown New York Muslim terror attack on a Jewish Temple and military aircraft! The men reportedly planned to use C-4 plastic explosives to detonate a car outside a Bronx Jewish Temple, and to fire missiles at military planes at Newburgh, New York Air National Guard base - but when the deal came down, the would-be terrorists were sold fake weapons and were arrested. With the potential of imminent attacks on U.S. soil, how can the United States prevent the worst? Would understanding fundamentalist Islam be a start?

- The terrorists don't care who the president of the United States is, but are emboldened by a show of weakness by Barack Obama. Walid Shoebat will discuss how our president is showing weakness, and why this emboldens Jihadists.

- Closing Guantanamo Bay prison is dangerous. Allowing Islamic Terrorists from Gitmo into the American prison system would be devastating to our national security. But if the prison in Cuba is closed, what to do with the prisoners?

- The Holy Bible is a Middle Eastern book, and Walid Shoebat will also shed light on prophecy from a perspective Western Christians never recognized before - until now!

Join us tonight live on Political Pistachio Radio. The program begins live at 7pm Pacific, 10pm Eastern, and then into the second hour of the program, Walid Shoebat will join us live. Tune in to tonight's show live, or to the archive later, HERE.

The New World Order and the Global Recession

Conspiracy theorists used to ramble on about the coming New World Order, arguing that part of what would bring on such a sinister system will be the drive for a global currency. Then, the conspiracy became a headline when at the G-20 Summit British Prime Minister Gordon Brown proclaimed that the New World Order was on the horizon.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is being seen by some as the vessel to bring about a global currency, and to bring about the reality of a global governance.

Rob Roselli maintains that bankers created the Federal Reserve for the reason of creating something like the IMF, and unless we realize this soon and change direction, the United States many not be able to escape a perilous future of globalism, and the New World Order.

The author of "The THEorYofLIVEvolution," Rob Roselli is my guest tonight on Political Pistachio Radio, and he believes the drive for a "New World Order" is afoot, and it is not an accident. Join the program live at 7pm Pacific/10pm Eastern, or on archive, HERE.

Alan Keyes Arrested At Notre Dame - Alan Keyes if out on bail, or his "right-hand-man" Randall Terry, to be Guest Tonight

Abortion, the Catholic Church, President Obama, Notre Dame, and Alan Keyes

"If we don't wake up and work to see that it happens, we will not see another election" - Alan Keyes

More Americans are Pro-Life than Pro-Choice, according to Gallup, for the first time since 1995 (I believe Pro-Life has always outnumbered the Pro-Abortion supporters of the slaughter of the unborn, but the polls have never picked up on that). The Catholic Church agrees that Abortion is murder, and the Pope has determined that a Catholic cannot be Pro-Abortion.

Notre Dame, a Catholic University in South Bend, Indiana, has invited Barack Obama, a staunch abortion supporter (and infanticide supporter) to speak at the commencement ceremony May 17. The Catholic Church calls the invite by Notre Dame scandalous, and insult is added to injury by the fact that Obama will also be given an honorary degree at the event, as well. Alan Keyes has been protesting this appearance by Obama calling it a betrayal of babies.

Alan Keyes was arrested again for his protests yesterday, but it is in the works to get him out on bail today. If he is not in jail at the time of the start of Political Pistachio Radio tonight at 10 pm Eastern, Alan Keyes will be our guest to discuss what is going on. If he is still in jail, his right-hand-man, Randall Terry will be my guest (Randall Terry has also been a frequent guest on Fox News programs).

Join us at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific tonight on Political Pistachio Radio HERE.

UPDATE: Alan Keyes is free, and will be on the show tonight!!!

Jim Jacobson: Chavez and Ahmadinijad are Uncommon Allies, Taliban is Spreading Killing Frenzy Into Pakistan

Jim Jacobson says: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend," is an ancient Arabic proverb that explains the worldly wisdom of why Iranian President Ahmadinijad is so so friendly with Venezuela President Hugo Chavez.

He is also monitoring closely the plague-like expansion of the Islamofacist Taliban into Pakistan.

President of Christian Freedom International (CFI), Mr. Jacobson served as a policy analyst in the Reagan White House, served as political appointee in the administration of George Herbert Walker Bush, and was senior legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate.

Tonight, Jim Jacobson is the guest on the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution to discuss these issues, and more. Tune in live at 7pm Pacific Time, or catch the archive later, HERE.

Alan Keyes To Be Arrested At Notre Dame

Dr. Alan Keyes is a multiple Republican and Independent Presidential Candidate, a two time Republican U.S. Senate Candidate in Maryland, and a former Illinois U.S. Senate Candidate that ran against Barack Obama for that seat. Alan Keyes is also a former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, where he represented America's sovereign interests in the U.N. General Assembly, under Ronald Reagan. He spent 11 years with the U.S. State Department, is a former Assistant Secretary of State, served in the U.S. Foreign Service, and was on the staff of the National Security Council before becoming Ronald Reagan's Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations. He was President of Citizens Against Government Waste from 1989 to 1991, and is the founder of National Taxpayers' Action Day.

Alan Keyes is a genuine conservative whose political views are based on America's founding ideals, including the Declaration of Independence, and the U.S. Constitution. He is pro-life, pro-family, and pro-traditional marriage, without compromise. He is currently active in the nationwide debate regarding America's moral crisis.

With a Ph.D. in government from Harvard, his dissertation was on constitutional theory. He served as Interim President of Alabama A&M University in 1991. He speaks French, and has studied three other languages, including ancient Greek.

Keye's well-known criticism of Barack Obama includes declaring that the Obama Democrats are attempting to change our form of government into a Marxist System that denies freedoms to the people, and gives full control of the nation to a tyrannical government.

Last week Dr. Alan Keyes and 21 other protesters were arrested on the Notre Dame University campus for trespassing. They were there to protest Notre Dame's decision to let the pro-abortion President of the United States speak at the commencement this coming weekend, May 17. Notre Dame is a Catholic University, and the Catholic Pope has proclaimed the Catholic Church to be pro-life.

This upcoming Friday Alan Keyes is expecting to be arrested again while protesting on Notre Dame's campus. He will once again be protesting the fact that abortion supporter President Barack Obama is going to be at Notre Dame University in Indiana to receive an honorary doctorate at Catholic Notre Dame's graduation, and to give a commencement address. Dr. Keyes sees this as a betrayal of the babies by Notre Dame, and intends to lift up the standard that protects the life of innocent children.

The following evening Dr. Alan Keyes should be safely back in his hotel room, awaiting my phone call. At 10:00 pm Saturday Evening, May 16, the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution is scheduled to be the first show of any kind on radio or television to interview Dr. Alan Keyes after he is released from jail. You may tune into the show on Blog Talk Radio for this important interview HERE.

James Lansberry and John Ziegler on PPR

The threat of Socialized Medicine looms in the air. Experts are saying that Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid could be bankrupt by the time most of us reach retirement age. President Barack Obama has proclaimed that single payer (aka Socialized Medicine) healthcare is the only way to save the system, when in reality, according to James Lansberry, the solution to lowering healthcare costs is already here - without government aid, and without expensive health insurance.

James Lansberry, president of the Alliance of Health Care Sharing Ministries, will be joining Political Pistachio Radio tonight to discuss the extremely successful "Shared Care" systems across the country that people are already using successfully for just pennies on the dollar, compared to traditional insurance companies and government health providers.

John Ziegler is a veteran of the information media. He began as a television sportscaster, has been the author of a number of books, and then decided to try to benefit from his controversial nature by going into talk radio. He quickly moved up the ranks in radio, and moved on to television where he won a regional Emmy.

In 2002, Ziegler returned to radio as the host of the mid-morning SHOW on the legendary 84WHAS in Louisville, Ky. His show was heard weekdays from 9 am-noon and quickly became the highest rated program in its time slot. John also co-hosted a successful prime-time TV show called "Yarmuth & Ziegler" on the NBC affiliate in Louisville. John Yarmuth is now the Congressman from Louisville, while, thanks to an extremely high-profile firing, John Ziegler is only allowed back in the city on special occasions.

I know him best as a KFI 640-AM in Los Angeles host on a late evening show. That show on KFI began on January 12th, 2004. John's rating success in the 10 pm slot earned him a promotion to the 7 pm shift in February of 2005.

In 2005, John authored the book "The Death of Free Speech."

In 2006, John was given national credit for "breaking" the John Kerry "Stuck in Iraq" story that ended his 2008 Presidential hopes.

In 2007, John was named the 54th most important talk host in the country by Talkers Magazine. At the end of that year KFI and John Ziegler mutually decided to not renew his contract.

In 2008, John Ziegler wrote, directed and produced the documentary "Blocking the Path to 9/11" and created www.HowObamaGotElected.com as a precursor to his next film, "Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected."

Tonight John Ziegler joins Political Pistachio Radio during the second hour of the program to discuss his documentary, and Katie Couric's award she is receiving for her shameful interview of Sarah Palin during the campaign. The Program begins at 7 pm Pacific Time HERE.

Gnosticism, Politics, and What You've Been Missing on the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution

Gnosticism, Lost Gospels, and today's Politics

In 1945, near the town of Nag Hammadi, a farmer found a red jar containing 12 papyrus books bound in leather. The writers of these codices were followers of an ancient movement called Gnosticism. The tales in the texts claim to be written by Jesus' first disciples. Five of the Nag Hammadi words call themselves Gospels. Some scholars believe that these documents rewrite the story of Christianity.

The Jesus Seminar wrote a new translation of the Gospels using the Gnostic influence. Writers like Elaine Pagels have written extensively on the "lost Gospels." Before long, the lost Gospels began to be used as a way to undermine Christianity, using a linguistic shell game that has created confusion and doubt among some in society. However, Gnosticism didn't receive center stage until Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code hit the book shelves in 2003.

Fifty million readers of Dan Brown's best selling novel read in The Da Vinci Code that the Nag Hammadi writings are "unaltered Gospels" which present Jesus Christ in "human terms." Dan Brown's book claims that the lost Gospels were rejected by The Church for political reasons, and that the story of Jesus is a much different tale than what is portrayed by Christianity. And with the popularity of Dan Brown's novel, in addition to a number of Hollywood releases using Gnosticism for the stories, the Gnostic Rennaissance is in full bloom.

In 2007, David Marshall published his book, The Truth About Jesus and the "Lost Gospels." The book delves deep into the "Lost Gospels" to answer what they are, where they came from, if they are trustworthy, if they are on par with the Holy Bible, and whether or not we have had wrong perceptions about Jesus all along.

Tonight, during the first hour of Political Pistachio Radio, David Marshall is my guest. In tonight's interview, we will go through a careful comparison of the "Lost Gospels" to the Bible, as well as investigate how Gnosticism has infected our society, and political system.

The Episode Airs Live at 7:00 pm Pacific Time on Political Pistachio Radio - catch it live, or the archive later, HERE.

During the second hour of the show, we will be joined by Augie Sodaro of Special Guests to discuss how agencies like Special Guests work, and how internet radio is influencing todays entertainment industry.

Atheists, Darwin, Ray Comfort

No atheist is actually an atheist. Some of them actually recognize this, and call themselves deists, or agnostic. The question in an atheist's conscience is not truly whether or not there is a God, but whether or not that God is the same as the God represented in Biblical Scriptures.

In politics, this issue rises often, because without a relationship with God the atheist (or deist, or agnostic, or. . . ) has a need to feel the void in their spritual character. When government tries to do this, and be the "god" to all citizens, it comes across a major obstacle. Government can't be all things to all people when God is already filling that role. Hence, the reason that socialism is a Godless political ideology. To exist it must eliminate the competition.

Interestingly, when the "God Debate" arises in religious or political debates, the self-proclaimed atheist (or deist, or agnostic) often responds angrily, doing all they can to discount the very Creator that believes in them and loves them. Not all non-believers do this, mind you. Some recognize the principles of Judeo-Christian teachings. For a few it is just a matter of whether or not they are ready and willing to allow their "self" to die, and be reborn as a believer.

Pastor Ray Comfort, in his latest book (as well as others he has written) has taken the time to address the atheist's conscience. Ray Comfort's book, You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence but You Can't Make Him Think (available at WNDbooks.com), answers actual questions from atheists to Pastor Comfort's blog at Atheist Central.

The book is a "Darwin Day" gift to those people who reject the notion that there is a God out there that loves them.

Ray Comfort is the co-host with Kirk Cameron of the nationally sydicated TV show "The Way of the Master," as well as being a leader in the evangelical Christian Community. His ministry, Living Waters Ministries, is active in the evangelical community and hosts conferences and teaches Christians how to evangelize. Ray has been a guest on news shows like ABC's Nightline debating the existence of God, and now will be on Political Pistachio Radio tonight to do the same.

Come one, come all, atheists, agnostics, deists, and Christians alike. All calls will be accepted, all arguments will be responded to. Join us tonight at 7:00 pm Pacific Time/10:00 pm Eastern on Political Pistachio Radio as we welcome guest Ray Comfort, author of You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence, But You Can't Make Him Think.

World War II and Baseball - Playing With The Enemy by Gary W. Moore

Imagine, if you will, playing baseball as a teenager on a farm-town ballclub for fun. A Major League Baseball scout, after watching you play, offers you the dream of a lifetime - the opportunity to play baseball professionally. Dad is not too keen on the idea, but you dream about it anyway. Then war breaks out, and your dream must be put on hold, only to escape you.

After a tour across the world, during the latter portion of your service in the U.S. Navy, while you still dream of the Big Leagues, you are tasked with guarding war prisoners - secret war prisoners that nobody knows about - and you are sworn to secrecy regarding your duty as a guard. You watch them through the fence, realize they are not a whole lot different than you, and out of boredom decide to get a bunch of friends together to challenge the prisoners to a little game of baseball . . . but the prisoners don't know how to play, so you must teach them the game as well.

Imagine a friendship developing between you and a prisoner. Imagine a friendship game being played between the players of the two countries. Imagine that the enemy is a group of hardened submarine sailors from Nazi Germany, and their capture is a part of a secret so secret that you can't even tell your family years later what it was all about. . . but it is a secret that was an instrumental part of the allied win in World War II.

This is the tale of Gene Moore from Playing With The Enemy by Gary W. Moore, and Gary, his son (and the author), is our guest tonight on Political Pistachio Radio.

Hate and Discontent on Political Pistachio Radio

The Liberal Mindset. It is interesting how much the Liberal Left proclaims it is progressing toward perfection, that they are somehow more moral and tolerant than everyone else, yet spew such hatred and discontent. I have family members that are hard-left liberal that have actually decided to stop talking to me because I am (in their words) clueless, attributing to the demise of our country, ignorant, a hilarious failure, lose when a bull-shit indicator is applied, a useful idiot, a waste of energy, a part of the shadow of disgusting and immoral Bush Politics, irresponsible, unintelligent, and the cause of tragedy in this world.

How lovely. Note that none of the Conservatives, or non-liberals, in the family play these kinds of games.

I receive e-mails constantly as well from liberals out there that spew the same kind of crap. I receive hateful comments from a dozen or so Political Pistachio readers that call me everything from liar to religious zealot.

And these are the folks that call themselves tolerant and loving.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden says a lot of things, but listen carefully and you will see that whenever he opens his mouth, the truth seems to fail to fill his language. . .

Proposition 8 is causing a lot of theft, vandalism, hate and discontent in California, and that is by the folks that support Gay Marriage and are against the Proposition.

When talking about the far left liberals, listen carefully, the deception is evident - and they don't even realize it. Rather than allowing God to reach out to them, they are too busy trying to elevate humanity to a godlike level - with Hope and Change and flowers and unicorns and . . .

Join us tonight on Political Pistachio Radio at 10pm Eastern to hear us discuss the above material.

Today will be the 300th Episode of Political Pistachio Radio. The popular Blog Talk Radio Show began February 24, 2007. It began as a weekly show, airing every Saturday at 4pm Pacific. By the end of the summer the popularity of the program convinced me to increase the number of broadcasts eventally to nightly, and to pursue bigger and better guests. Past Guests have included Lee Culpepper (before he joined Townhall as one of their writers), Gary W. Moore (a number of times), Paul Ibbetson (before he became a terrestrial radio host), Governor James Gilmore (to explain why he dropped out of the GOP race for President), Atlas Shrugs, Terry Funderburk (business owner losing business to illegal aliens), Walid Shoebat, Andrea Shea King, Aaron Klein (Schmoozing With Terrorists), The Baron and Dymphna of The Gates of Vienna, William Russell, NBA Basketball Star Doug Christie and his wife Jackie, Sues of Warriors For Innocence, J.A. Tomorrow Night:

July 1, 1985 I fell asleep at the wheel of my vehicle, and what followed was two years of a battle against death, and a harrowing account of recovery. To this day my life is still affected by that dark episode of my life. Tonight I am going to give my full, detailed testimony regarding what happened to me twenty-three years ago. Even if you have heard my testimony before, you have not heard it in such vivid detail before. Catch my testimony of tragedy, hope, and eventual recovery at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern on Sunday Night on Political Pistachio Radio.

This Week:

The List of Liberalism by one of my liberal readers is as follows:

2. Americans support the Geneva Conventions with regards to torture (57 percent)

3. Americans don't want the government snooping in their bank and internet records (67 percent)

4. Americans support protecting the environment at the expense of economic growth (55 percent)

5. Americans believe that global warming is happening (86 percent)

9. Americans support labor unions (60 percent)

10. Americans want government funding of embryonic stem cell research (56 percent)

This week on Political Pistachio Radio I will spend four days addressing this list, and proving how naive and ignorant the writer is on these topics - The Liberal List series will broadcast Monday through Thursday this week at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific each night. Our Military On Political Pistachio Radio

On The Radio This Week!

ONCE A MARINE - An Iraq War Tank Commander's Inspirational Story of Combat, Courage, and Recovery. Nick Popaditch appeared in an AP photo on April 9, 2003. The striking image was of the Marine tank commander smoking a victory cigar in his tank, the haunting statue of Saddam Hussein hovering in the background. "Gunny Pop" was immortalized forever as "The Cigar Marine." A year later he fought heroically in the First Battle for Fallujah and suffered head wounds that left him legally blind and partially deaf. The United States Marine Corps awarded him a Silver Star for his valor and combat innovation. Coming home, however, is when the toughest fight of his life began - a battle to remain the man and Marine he was. Join Political Pistachio Radio on Tuesday Night at 10:00 pm Eastern Time/7:00 pm Pacific for a riveting interview with Nick Popaditch, a Marine's Marine, a man who embodies everything noble and proud in the Corps' long tradition.

A Call From The Republican National Convention on Political Pistachio Radio

Every once in a while on Political Pistachio Radio we experience pleasant surprises. Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio, as Mrs. Pistachio and I debated the abortion issue with a panel of callers, Dr. Deborah Honeycutt called in to join the discussion.

Dr. Deborah Honeycutt is running in the 13th district of Georgia for Congress and is in Minnesota to attend the Republican National Convention. Her campaign site on the main page says this: ". . . our United States government is facing a moral crisis. As a country we are in danger of forsaking the moral cornerstone upon which our nation was founded. No longer do many of our leaders make decisions based on constitutional imperatives, time-honored values, or Christian principles. Foundational phrases like “One Nation under God” and “In God We Trust,” which symbolize the genesis of our nation, are daily being assaulted by individuals and organizations with seemingly socialist agendas. Activist judges are virtually making laws from their benches, thereby usurping the powers of our U.S. Congress. Members of Congress are challenging the constitutional powers of the executive branch. The executive branch through utilizing executive orders is making judicial decrees. Where established order is not upheld, there is chaos. The current political chaos does not serve the citizens of our country well."

Listen to the episode of Political Pistachio Radio she called into HERE.

Visit Dr. Honeycutt's site to learn more about her campaign and to donate HERE.

This money has come from over 20,000 donors, 75% of whom gave $50 or less. Among the most notable donors are Fred Thompson and Donald Rumsfeld.

Join Political Pistachio Radio as we welcome William Russell back to the program (for his fifth visit).

Heading Right Convention - Transcript of my speech on America's Moral Compass

The Heading Right Convention aired tonight and I was one of the speakers on the floor. The convention aired in two parts. Visit The Heading Right Convention for the proper links. And while you are on that site, visit the voting area on the right side bar and vote for Political Pistachio and me, Douglas V. Gibbs. There is about two days of voting left for the Heading Right Awards. At last look I was 13 votes out of first place for best show, and a few more votes back for best host.

Now, the following is the transcript of my speech at the Heading Right Convention:

I am sitting here with a United States Navy hat upon my head, and a God Bless America shirt on my body. I served this nation with pride, and a patriotic love in my heart. I created Political Pistachio to spread the good news of Conservative values - To share with the world what America's moral compass is really all about.

While the Democratic Party is whipping up into a near-frenzy about dividing America in Denver with more hatred and anti-Bush rage, we are here on Blog Talk Radio at this Heading Right Convention celebrating the greatness of America.

The leftist Democrats constantly try to overcompensate their claimed beliefs in heartland American values, portraying themselves as a party of the people, proclaiming their humble origins, blue-collar beginnings, and religious convictions. Such hypocrisy.

Their positions continuously oppose American values, despite how much they try to convince us otherwise.

It is the conservatives that stand for the traditional family and the defense of marriage, less cultural pollution, educational choice, freedom of religion, fiscal restraint, pro-life, the right to bear arms, lower taxes, an end to junk lawsuits, and a general patriotic support of our fine men and women of the United States Military.

It is Conservatives fighting for a strong American Moral Compass while the liberal left is putting condoms on cucumbers, telling 8th graders that they're really gay and they need their own high school, shutting down the Boy Scouts because they support a straight and patriotic life, suing businesses on false pretenses, and jack hammering the Ten Commandments from all public displays while trying to remove God from the public square and our lives.

America's greatness is a direct result of America's strong moral compass. Our moral values as a people demands high standards of right and good conduct. The direction of societal behavior is in direct relation to our moral belief system. Our moral beliefs, in turn, directly affects our overall culture, and political system.

In the Old Testament it says that you reap what you sow. An old secular saying supports that, saying what comes around goes around. The United States has prospered for that very reason. Right is right and wrong is wrong, and this nation has always tried to do what's right. But we must remember it was the people of this nation, not the politicians in government, that made this nation prosper.

A strong central government is not capable of doing what is right because a strong moral compass is not its reason for existing. Big government exists to protect itself, and to spawn more big government. Its enslavement of the people then becomes an addiction to power, a never ending need for more and more.

The party of change desires to convince you that big government is what you need. The Democrats wish to reprogram our moral compass. The liberals support the genocidal murder of innocent, unborn lives, calling it "choice" to justify the horrific murderous practice. They support the destruction of the traditional family and the silencing of those of faith that would speak out against the radical homosexual agenda - and they call it a civil rights movement, rather than an attempt to justify a behavior that has long been considered an abnormality. The liberals have used the courts to override the moral compass of the American people. They have used the schools to indoctrinate our children to teach them to reject America's moral compass. They have assaulted us with a pop-culture of sex that is plagued with promiscuity, disease, and is pushed by the biased media and entertainment industry. And they do this in the name of change and hope. . . but what they are really doing is destroying morality in America.

Abortion on demand, a radical homosexual agenda, attacks on religion, and disarming America is not the kind of change I desire.

I believe Americans are smarter than that. This great nation is prosperous because the people refuse to succumb to such bondage. We are patriots that love our country and realize that our political tendencies rely on our moral convictions as a people. We reject the cheapening of life, and destroying the traditional family. We refuse to allow the state to take our children from us and indoctrinate them. And we reject laying down our arms so that an enemy can incrementally invade and alter our society.
This nation was founded on strong moral values, and America prospered because we always used our moral compass as our guide. And tonight, here at the Heading Right Convention, we have joined together to tell the nation that we will fight to protect it, and we will defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

And the trueness of the direction of our moral compass is most apparent in the actions of our heroes, those soldiers and sailors that serve to protect us.

Greater love than this hath no man than that he lay down his life for his friends.

Our fine members of the U.S. Military faces evil daily, and they fight that evil to defend our liberty.

But the battle rages here as well. You and I are the warriors on the homefront. The enemies of America have realized that to bring down our civilization all they must do is confuse the standards of moral behavior.

The moral compass of America is crucial to defend, for if it falls, so does America.

My Friends, defend her, fight for her. United We Stand, Combined We Kick Butt.

God Bless America, and God Bless You.

Olympic Persecution, Jim Jacobson joins us to discuss Americans arrested in China

Jim Jacobson served as a policy analyst in the Reagan White House, served as a political appointee in the George Herbert Walker Bush administration, and was a senior legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate. He has testified before Congress, conducted briefings at the White House, State Department, and the United Nations, and he has personally brought aid, Bibles, and provided advocacy to Christians in many countries in the last ten years. He frequently travels into restricted countries where Christians are severely persecuted for their faith, including war zones. Now, he is speaking out about three American Christians arrested in China after they held a press conference in Tiananmen Square condemning China's widespread oppression and human rights violations.

Tonight, Jim Jacobson will be live on Political Pistachio Radio to discuss China's persecution against those that daily risk their lives for the crime of the Christian faith.

Join us live at 10:00 pm Eastern, or catch the archive, HERE.

Political Pistachio Guests This Week!

Monday: Lt. Col. Allen West has lived his life in service to America. After serving in the U.S. Army, finishing his military career as an advisor in Afghanistan in an assignment that finished in November, 2007, LTC Allen West has decided to run for Congress in the 22nd District in Florida. A family man and true conservative, Allen West brings leadership and values to his candidacy. Allen West is the kind of conservative we need in Congress, and he is my guest Monday night on Political Pistachio Radio.

Tuesday: McCain and Obama were together at Saddleback questioned separately by Megachurch pastor, Rick Warren, last Saturday. Pastor Bill Devlin of Redeem The Vote will join us on Tuesday to discuss the event on Political Pistachio Radio.

Wednesday: Presidential Candidates Barack Obama and John McCain seem reluctant to take a stand with respect to their position on enforcing Federal Obscenity Laws. Morality in Media President Robert Peters is our guest on Wednesday to discuss a national survey that was conducted last spring - and the results may surprise you. Join us Wednesday on Political Pistachio Radio.

Thursday: A survey finds the majority of Americans believe parents have a constitutional right to homeschool their children. Homeschooling, however, has been under attack, and many states are trying to outlaw homeschooling right here in the United States. Mike Donnelly of the Home School Legal Defense Association will be joining us to discuss the advantages of Home Schooling, the survey conducted last spring by LifeWay Research, and the ongoing attacks against parents that have decided to homeschool their children. Mike is our guest on Thursday on Political Pistachio Radio.

Jerome Corsi, book, The Obama Nation, Controversy, and Political Pistachio Radio

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio Dr. Jerome Corsi must meet controversy head on!

Dr. Jerome Corsi, staff writer for World Net Daily, has suddenly found himself in the midst of a violent storm of controversy. The WND writer, this week alone, has been the object of numerous television and radio shows as the media tries to wade through the information contained in the book, and determine if the book is truly filled with falsehoods, or is a well researched piece of literature that takes a close and hard look at the Democratic Presidential front-runner, Barack Obama.

The book at the center of the controversy is, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality. The Huffington Post calls the book, "...one of the worst political books ever written. Corsi piles distortion upon innuendo to create a gigantic heap of right-wing garbage, with a seemingly endless parade of basic factual errors running through the text like rats. Corsi's book is an embarrassment to the craft of journalism, and any of the conservatives who have praised and promoted it should feel humiliated at how bad it truly is." Media Matters writes that The Obama Nation "contains numerous falsehoods about Sen. Barack Obama." Even Conservative talk show host and Townhall writer Hugh Hewitt exclaims about the book, "Corsi's from the fringe. . . the book contains errors."

Hugh Hewitt, however, also points out that the Obama Campaign has given us an "absurd set of non-responsive responses," and that, "Now they botch a gimmie -- defining Corsi as a nut while not putting attention on the charges he leveled."

Sean Hannity has stated that The Obama Nation "may have made his [Obama's] campaign a bit nervous."

Joseph Farah, founder of World Net Daily, says about the controversy surrounding the book, and Jerome Corsi, "Unlike most of the critics of The Obama Nation, I have actually read the book from cover to cover. It is a thoroughly well-documented piece of first-rate journalism. Are there mistakes in it? Show me a first edition that doesn't have some – other than the Bible. But is it truthful? Does it add considerably to the public's knowledge of the front-running candidate for the presidency? Do we know much more about Obama than we would had we relied exclusively for our information from the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post and the Associated Press? I offer a resounding 'yes' to all three of those questions. I am privileged to call him my friend, colleague and co-worker. I stand with Jerry Corsi today as he is viciously maligned by an attack media that would prefer to aim its potent artillery at a man who dared to do their job when they refused, when they laid down, when they sucked up, when they failed to ask the tough questions, when they took sides."

In response, Barack Obama's advisers have been tracking Corsi's media appearances, quickly telephoning producers to react to the book's charges, and last night, the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign issued a 40-page response to the book.

The Democratic National Committee has its own rapid response team to take aim at Corsi's book, saying, "One of the most vile smear peddlers of the 2004 election has found a new target. We cannot afford to let Corsi get away with the same dirty tricks that fooled so many people in 2004. We can't rely on the media to hold him accountable – in fact, the sheer brazenness of the lies is attracting even more coverage. The media have shown that they aren't going to stop him. It's up to you to spread the truth."

So, what is the truth? Is this book a classic smear job? Or is Corsi's book simply caught up in the crosshairs of the leftists because it hits a chord? Is Dr. Jerome Corsi a discredited liar peddling garbage in order to help continue Bush-Cheney politics? Or is he a simply being lynched by the mainstream media and Democratic Party for daring to write the truth? Be the judge yourself. Read the book, and listen to what Dr. Jerome Corsi has to say tonight on Political Pistachio Radio.
The show airs live at 10:00 pm Eastern Time, but will be archived for later listening for those unable to listen live. Access the program HERE.

This is my hill

By J.J. Jackson

Eventually, if you want to enact positive change you have to fight for that change. If you don’t, you’ll just get more of the same. Right now America is in full retreat, being chased from each hilltop by anti-American forces touting their weapons of class warfare, rights descendant from bureaucrats and mob rule where the minority is not protected.

I firmly believe that one of the problems we have in our society today is that we are compromised by compromise. At some point people began believing that compromise, much like change, is carte blanche good and never to be questioned. Others though seem to believe that compromise should be questioned, but only as a formality to look like they were seriously considering the consequences. But if you keep compromising with people that don’t agree with you on core issues all you are doing is moving towards their position and away from yours.

And if your position is a core belief what happens when you are no longer upholding it because you have compromised to the point where your opposition has basically gotten their way? It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure it out.

We see where compromise has gotten us on a variety of issues from abortion, where a child isn’t a child if it is only so many weeks old in the womb but magically becomes a child one nanosecond after that, to the second amendment where it is now only ok to keep certain types of government approved arms despite the clear and unambiguous term “shall not be infringed” staring us in the face. We have been led to a place where arbitrary and capricious standards that make absolutely no sense reign. And it has all been in the name of the vaunted goal of compromise.

America has, over the years been a victim of an extreme leftward lean in our policy. Those that have pioneered this policy have played on the desire of Americans to simply want to get along with everyone. They exploited that desire with perfection.

This became blatantly apparent in the years after FDR’s social programs to the point where today the continually modified and expanded FDR plan for socialism is favored by the majority of Republicans where as in the early twentieth century it was favored by the Democrats. Today, after decades of compromise on the Constitution and with the Republicans as a whole filling the position of the Democrats of old, the Democrats have marched solidly even further to the left.

They then cry out for even more compromise with their new and more intrusive government programs such as Hillary Clinton’s plan for socialized medicine. Every election cycle they propose even grander socialist wealth redistribution policies. And why shouldn’t they? They’ve eventually won nearly every battle they have fought when it comes to such ideas by drawing enough people into compromise for compromise sake and promising them a piece of the pie they offer.

Everything has shifted. Because once our decision was made to compromise on the core principles which founded this great nation we have been in a constant state of retreat from the fight for individual liberty, equality and unalienable rights. Americans are in retreat and those that want to turn America into some form of socialist nanny state with themselves at the controls are on the attack.

As we retreat we keep passing up hills and giving them to the enemy.

The hill named “Right to property”? Gone. Overrun by the forces of FDR charging forward with his plans for confiscating the wealth of one American to pay retirement benefits to other Americans.

The hill named “Right to Privacy” with regards to our personal affects and records? Gone with the invention of the income tax because each and every year you are required to lay your personal records bear for the government to scrutinize.

The hill named “Second Amendment”? The daisies on that hilltop were trampled into the ground long ago with laws that infringed on the rights of the people to freely keep and bear arms.

The hill named “First Amendment”? Blown right past when McCain-Feingold became law.

And we just keep retreating and giving ground like it doesn’t matter. I’ve been yelling for years but the generals leading this charge backwards have ignored me. But now my legs are getting tired. In my arms there is a loaded rifle that has been rarely fired under official orders. Although I have fired it many times on my own and with other Americans also fed up with the situations that arise much to the chagrin of those who claim to be our “leaders” of course. And all about me I am watching my fellow Americans retreat as the orders are given time and again.

We are told to rally around our anointed leader, whoever it may be, come election time. We have the specter of a Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama presidency thrown in our faces to scare us into voting against them and not for something. We are told not to question. We are told to sit down and shut up. We are told, as conservatives, to vote for whomever the GOP nominee is, even if it is someone like John McCain who is basically using the John Kerry strategy of running on the fact that he served in Vietnam and how dare you question him. Don’t you know he is a war hero?

If you point out that he has a penchant for violating the Constitution and joining arm in arm with some of the most liberal members of Congress you are branded a troublemaker, a racist or whatever nonsensical term he and those that support him think they can get away with.

But there is one problem. The problem is that I am not actually enlisted in this army and I don’t really mind being labeled a troublemaker. I have sworn no deep allegiance to the Republican Party aside from simply registering with the party so that I can vote in their primaries and have a say in who their nominee is. But I am not a good little soldier and I do not recognize their authority to order me to vote for their candidate if I disagree with the ultimate choice. I’ve merely been here as someone that has sought to lend my rifle to defeating bigger foes of America.

But now I am not certain that the Republican Party is my kindred spirit in the quest for restoring this Republic. So I’m stopping; right here. No more running. This hill on which I now come to rest will be my hill. This is where I will make my stand.

And I know we as Americans can do it. We can make this stand. Remember when we were told to accept comprehensive immigration reform and amnesty for illegals? Remember how we were told that stopping that atrocious piece of legislation was impossible? That it was a done deal? Remember what happened when the foot soldiers revolted against McCain and others who did not have America’s best interests in mind?

That’s my point.

I was there for that battle. I fought on the front lines. And I saw what happens first hand when Americans rally even as their leaders cower and retreat. Mere foot soldiers rose to the status of general through battlefield promotions and led the counter attack. So my legs will not run another mile. They don’t have another mile left in them to run.

I will not be blown off this hill. I’m setting myself here, preparing my powder and cleaning my rifle. I am confident in my shot. And make no mistake, I will fire every last bullet at those that are about to come over the rise and try to take this hill from me.

This is my hill; one of the last vestiges of our once great country slowly being ripped from us. And I know that there are many who will stand firm if only they see others willing to stand their ground and know they are not alone.

Sure, others will blindly follow the calls for retreat. I will not.

I am tired of being told to suck it up and grow up and accept the compromise placed before me by those that are worried they will lose if I do not follow. Yet at the same time they are unwilling to compromise with me and my fellow Americans and reveal their own hypocrisy. They don’t want compromise. They don’t want what is best for this country. They want their power. And I will not be party to that folly.

It will not be easy. There will be suffering. There will be pain. There will be blood spilled this day and probably for many days, months and years to come. We may even enter into terrible darkness and the deepest of winters and fear that all is lost. But to make things better I am willing to suffer. If I am not, then the enemy has already won and defeated me.

This is my hill and I claim it for Lady Liberty. This is where I make my stand for what is right. And John McCain? He will never have my vote. Promises today and deathbed conversions cannot undo the history he has.

To Hell with worrying if anyone else has the courage to stand by my side and fight. The only way you are taking this hill is over my dead body. Today is a good day to die, but since I don’t plan on dying on this hill, that means there is only one question to ask of those about to charge over this hill and try to take it. Are you willing to die on this hill trying to take it from not just me but all the other Americans you are about to come face to face with?

Well? Are you?

"The Case Against Barack Obama" book by David Freddoso

The record of Barack Obama, throughout his political career, demonstrates conclusively that Obama is hardly a reformer. His image of "Hope and Change" is actually a huge lie. There is not a single instant in Obama's political career where he did something for the sake of reforms and change.

Obama also has a shady history. The skeletons in his closet are of far-left positions, and political corruption. His campaign, like those of most left-wing Democrats, is about using the taxpayer's money to stay in power, and benefit his political cronies.

The Barack Obama Campaign is very much about the old politics, not some new swing of hope and change. He is the epitomy of the corrupt politician, and he is surrounded by the corrupt as well.

David Freddoso is a reporter that was watching his fellow columnists and journalists fawn over Barack Obama, and it seemed a little overboard to him. So he began to investigate Obama, looking closely at Barack's record. The resulting conclusion, and many detailed revelations about Barack Obama, has been put into the book, "The Case Against Barack Obama." David is my guest tonight on Political Pistachio Radio to discuss the book, and Barack Obama.

Join us live at 10:00 pm Eastern Time for the interview, or you can check out the archive later. Go HERE for the program.

Why You're Wrong About The Right

You know how it is. As Conservatives we are labeled every which way, and then some. We are, in the words and minds of the far-left, a conservative hodge-podge of Racists, Warmongers, Religious Extremists, and a group of stupid-intolerant-mean-selfish-greedy-extreme-out of touch jerks. If you are pro-life, then you must be a clinic bomber. If you don't support the myth of Man-made Global Warming, then you don't care about the planet and only recycle because it is either A: The Law, or B: Due to greed you recycle to get back your already paid redemption value. I have been called a homophobe, bigot, Islamophobe, extremist, and religious zealot. Fact is, the Left loves to target us with labels out of one side of their mouth, as they proclaim that labels are a bad thing out of the other side. I actually have a liberal commenter that specifically says that he refuses to use labels, but then constantly comments about me, and refers to anybody that agrees with me as "Your Side."

S.E. Cupp and Brett Joshpe are a couple young professionals living in Manhattan, and like other Rightwing Nutjobs (to use the Liberal Vernacular) have noticed the eruption of these common and offensive myths about conservatives. In their book, "Why You're Wrong About The Right," they tackle twenty of the most common and offensive myths about the Right. They interviewed dozens of experts and celebrities, drawing on their collective experiences to present a fresh view of the Right. The book's intention is to surprise, humor and educate - and it accomplishes all three.

Tonight, these two young Conservatives are my guests on Political Pistachio Radio. They will discuss their book, and discuss some of the stereotypes of the Right that have risen through pop-culture. Do Conservatives truly fit these mythical stereotypes? Or is the Left just jumping to conclusions?

Find out tonight on Political Pistachio Radio!

God's War on Terrorism - Walid Shoebat

Walid's new book, God's War on Terror will be out after July 11, 2008

Walid Shoebat tonight returns to Political Pistachio Radio, this time to talk about the new book.

Walid has been a returning guest on Political Pistachio Radio since his first visit in September 1, 2007. He is a former Palestinian terrorist who became a Christian. After marrying his American wife, Walid tried to convert her to Islam. He bought a Bible and read it in hopes to disprove his wife's religion. This actually backfired and then Walid learned the truth about God, and Christ's promise of salvation. Walid has re-dedicated his life to speaking internationally about the lies of Islam, the treachery of child indoctrination in Israel of the Palestinian children by Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and Hezbollah. He teaches that Israel is a land God gave wholly to the Jews. He had to give up family and his homeland to take this position.

His first book, Why We Want to Kill You, reveals:

- How the Muslim Terrorists invaded America 30 years ago

- What their plan was and how patience was key

- How perseverence, recruitment, and hate fueled attacks in the U.S. and U.S. interests worldwide

- The similarities between radical Muslims and Nazi Germany

- Why Hitler failed so early and the Muslims, through patience, have increased their stronghold

This is information you will NOT get on CNN, MSNBC, or FoxNews or any other major television or Radio station as the Muslims have taken over financial controlling interests and will not allow the TRUTH to be aired.

Why We Want to Kill You: The Jihadist Mindset and How to Defeat It is part autobiographical, part confessional. Why We Want to Kill You helps readers in the West understand the Islamic mindset, what drives Islamic hatred and violence, and how to become more aware of the dangers to which many Americans and Europeans have become overly complacent.

Now we are seeing the world shape into what is really going on, and Walid Shoebat recognizes the signs at the center of the growing Islamization of the world.

In the news now are stories about Hamas and other radical Muslims and their attempts to continue their agenda to destroy Israel, the U.S., and other western countries.

Walid has continuously proclaimed that the only way to stop this is for Christians and Jews to stick together and fight.

Why should we join together against the Islamization of the world? Because we must realize that the invasion by Muslims worldwide creates a stronghold we should be concerned about, and if left alone, may become so large that it cannot be stoppeed.

Walid's latest book, God's War on Terror, is a deep comparison of Islam with the AntiChrist. Walid shows how the prophecy of the Koran lines up with the end times prophecy of the AntiChrist and how it will effect Christians and Jews. Walid also outlines how important the relationship is between Christians and Jews to protect the Jews and Israel from the evil surrounding it.

Tonight, Walid joins us to discuss his latest book. Go to Political Pistachio Radio to listen at 10:00 PM Eastern, or check out the archive later!

P.U.M.A. - Clinton Supporters The Share With The Right A Fear of an Obama Presidency

P.U.M.A. stands for "Party Unity My Ass." It is an organization launched and founded on facebook by Will Bower. The organization is primarily made up of Hillary Clinton supporters, taking shape soon after Mrs. Clinton officially suspended her campaign. P.U.M.A. is now a part of the much larger Just Say No Deal coalition of groups of like minded Democrats that have united as Hillary Clinton supporters, and are united in their opposition to Barack Obama's Democratic Party candidacy.

The formation of the group, out of frustration that Senator Hillary Clinton was not the Democratic nominee, has also led to $10 million collected to help pay down Hillary Clinton's political debt.

And, believe it or not, Will Bower and I something in common. Though I am a Christian Conservative, and he is a Clinton Democrat, we both share a strong dislike for Barack Obama's candidacy. Though he may not be real fond of John McCain because McCain is a Republican, and I am not fond of McCain because he is too moderate for me as a GOP candidate, our shared desire to stop a Barack Obama Presidency has united Will Bower and myself.

Bower, and his group, recognize Obama's inconsistencies in what he says, and how with Obama it is not about hope, change, and a departure from politics as usual. Barack Obama is the typical politician, saying what he thinks he should say in relation to which way the wind is blowing.

If Obama even has an inkling of an opportunity to gain the support of P.U.M.A. and "Just Say No Deal," he is going to have to do nearly the impossible to earn their support. Granted, Obama has been making some strides with Clinton’s supporters according to a recent poll, but Will Bower, the founder of PUMA, will not settle for Obama. In fact, Bower has openly said he will support McCain.

Bower formed PUMA to get other frustrated Clinton supporters to make a stance. This stance is to keep Obama from winning the U.S. Presidency. Bower is not just angry at Obama, he is angry at the whole Democratic Party.

And for those that say that Bower is whining and complaining that Clinton did not become the Democratic nominee, feel free to join Political Pistachio Radio tonight as we welcome Will Bower as our guest to discuss his group, and an insightful article "Backlash! 2 Million Angry Democrats Reject Obama?" written by Andrea Shea King on World Net Daily.

Dr. Andrew Bostom and Islamic Antisemitism

Antisemitism is age old. The book: The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism: From Sacred Texts to Solemn History, is a comprehensive, meticulously documented book full of evidence that strips down Islamic antisemitism - a specific Muslim hatred of Jews, which has been expressed continuously since the advent of Islam.

The book has received high Praise from Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Martin Peretz of the New Republic, and Steven T. Katz, Director, Elile Wiesel Center for Judaic Studies, Boston University.

Read the book reviews from the Jerusalem Post, and The Washington Times.

Dr. Andrew Bostom will be our guest on HERE for the live presentation, or to access the archived show later.

Oil Prices is a Supply and Demand Problem, Warranting a Free Market Solution

Unbelievable. There are actually members of the liberal left out there entertaining the idea of Nationalizing our Oil Companies. . . allowing government to take over control as Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela. How insane is that?

Many conservatives are recommending to solve the problem we begin drilling domestically, including in ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Reserve - Alaska). That's a fine idea, I suppose, but. . .

In both cases, the actions of nationalization or domestic drilling will not immediately solve the problem. The oil industry is a part of a Global Market, and as much as we would like to think that Oil Companies or Government would do the right thing, in the end, it will turn out to be either another opportunity for Government to milk more revenue out (and in a global market nationalizing fuel will not bring down the price - it's not like OPEC would suddenly drop the price per barrel because the government is the customer), or an yet another way for Big Oil to sell to the highest bidder - and then domestic oil would suddenly be a product being bought by China. . .

But, drilling domestically may be the answer in the long term - thanks to good ol' American Capitalism and the Free Market.

Curious?

Listen to my June 2nd edition of Political Pistachio Radio for my answer to the Oil Price Crisis.

Memorial Day Tribute to Heroes, and Audio of Interviews with attendees of Anti-Illegal Immigration Rally in California

Memorial Day means more than bar-b-qued hamburgers and hot dogs. It is more than just a day off from work. Memorial Day is a time to thank those who have sacrificed their lives for this nation, and a time to thank those who are currently laying it all on the line everyday to keep this nation safe. These men and women are most deserving of our deepest respect and gratitude for all they have done on behalf of our great country.

It is my sincere hope that everybody takes the time to pay tribute to those heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our freedom, and also recognize the tremendous sacrifices that our Veterans have made and our active duty troops are making everyday.

Simple words cannot convey my gratitude. As a veteran myself I understand the oath, and I understand the difficult journey. However, as a peace-time veteran, I will never fully understand the taste of freedom that graces the hearts and souls of our war-time veterans, and the brave men and women currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In fact, there are only two words that I can say that truly relay how I feel. They are simple words, insignificant by themselves, but filled with emotion and honor when placed together and delivered to a member of the United States Military.

Thank You.

--------------------------------------------

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio we will pay tribute to those fine members of the military, past and present, living and dead. I encourage the veterans that read this site and listen to the show to call in so that we may thank you personally.

--------------------------------------------

The men and women that protect this nation serve in many more ways other than the military. Our Border Patrol is also an agency tasked with keeping us as a nation safe, not only from illegal immigrants who have broken the law to be here and are tapping into a system they have neither contributed to, nor have the legal right to access, but the Border Patrol also protects us from members of enemy Islamic factions and Mexican drug cartels. One out of three persons crossing the border along the San Diego county line are of Middle Eastern descent. The Drug Cartels in Mexico are at war with the government and each other, and that war is attempting to spill over into this country. The Border Patrol is our line of defense against both of these dangers. Unfortunately, our government, which is fast becoming a judicial oligarchy, has determined that if Border Patrol Agents do their job, their actions are punishable by prison.

Two Border Patrol agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, attempting to interrupt a cross-border drug smuggling operation, fired their weapons in self-defense at an admitted illegal alien, drug smuggler, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila. The smuggler managed to escape across the border into Mexico, but he left his vehicle, loaded with more than 700 pounds of marijuana. It was another good bust. Rather than be congratulated for doing their job, the Border Patrol agents were charged with attempted murder, indicted, placed under house arrest for eight long months. The two agents were later sentenced to 11 and 12 years in federal prison, respectively, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and for violation of the drug smuggler's civil rights. They remain in prison serving their unfair sentence that President George W. Bush could pardon, but won't because of his globalistic position, and lack of cajones against the liberal left which would lambaste him if he so dared.

Last Friday I attended a Free Ramos and Compean Sidewalk Rally in Irvine, California near where First Lady Laura Bush was autographing copies of the book she authored with Jenna Bush, "Read All About It!" While I was there I interviewed a number of the folks holding up signs and waving American Flags in support of our unjustly jailed Border Patrol Agents, Ramos and Compean. Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio, after the tribute to our American Military Heroes, past and present, I will play for you the audio of those interviews. Don't miss this broadcast! This will be a show you will remember for a lifetime.

Join us tonight at 10:00 PM Eastern Time on Political Pistachio Radio.

Below are photos I took from the Rally. The first is of the line waiting to meet Laura Bush. The last picture is of a woman born in South America who declares proudly she is an American, and she is the final, stirring interview you will hear tonight.

The Right To Know (Ultrasounds and Abortion)

Abortion is hardly a cut and dry issue. Pro-Life advocates are motivated by the belief that human personhood begins at conception, thus, an abortion murders a baby. Some Pro-lifers accept termination of a pregnancy in special cases, others do not. Pro-Abortion activists more often than not believe that human life becomes a "person" some time after conception, though few agree on the exact moment. Some supporters of abortion will tell you that life begins when the embryo's heart begins beating, or when the fetus begins to look human, or when the child becomes sentient, or it has half emerged from the mother's body, or is born, or is severed from its mother and is able to function independently. Therefore, those who support legalized abortion believe a woman should have the choice to abort the pregnancy prior to that time the fetus becomes a person. There is no single pro-life position and no single pro-abortion position. In fact, the only thing the two groups may have in common is the desire to see a reduction in the number of abortions performed.

To achieve a reduction in the number of abortions, many pro-lifers promote supporting services for women in crisis pregnancies. In addition to this, many pro-lifers also seek legal restrictions on abortion access. The group that calls themselves pro-choice most often states that a reduction of abortions performed can be achieved by promoting better comprehensive birth control education in schools, to women who are sexually active, and greater access to contraceptives.

Lost in the debate between the "Right To Life" and the "Right To Choose" is "The Right To Know." After all, both groups agree that better education and learning as much knowledge as is available regarding abortion can assist a woman in better determining what she wants to do when faced with this very significant decision.

Chris Slattery, founder of Expectant Mother Care (also known as EMC Frontline Pregnancy Centers), has provided a new opportunity for knowledge in this debate. He believes a woman must be armed with all of the knowledge available before choosing to abort a pregnancy, including seeing an ultrasound of their unborn babies.

Chris Slattery joins Political Pistachio Radio tonight to discuss this seldom talked about opportunity that most abortion clinics refuse to discuss. Abortion clinics would prefer not to show ultrasounds to expectant mothers who have decided to put their unborn child through the physically painful procedure of abortion, and themselves through the emotionally painful procedure. But why would abortion clinics wish not to give women this additional opportunity for knowledge? The reason is simple, because seeing the ultrasounds changes the minds of previously abortion-minded women. What loving mother could possibly look her baby in the eyes and go through with the procedure of abortion that will affect her for a lifetime?

Join us tonight at 10:00 Eastern, or catch the archive later. Listeners are urged to call in and participate! Visit Political Pistachio Radio tonight for this powerful guest.

Father's Rights Book, "Rabies Mom," on Political Pistachio Radio

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio is author and father's rights advocate Pat Carroll. His new book, Rabies Mom, was written along with his brother-in-law Jack McGowan, and the book recounts his recent, personal story of fighting for custody of his six children, one of whom died of rabies while in her mother's custody.

Pat and Jack say courts too often award custody to mother's even when they aren't necessarily the better parent. Together, they plan to form the Better Parent Foundation, a think tank and outreach program that would potentially influence the way courts today decide custody cases. In Pat's case, during the time it took for the court system to finally grant him custody of his children, it was too late for one of his young daughters.

On the show tonight Pat and Jack will discuss:
--The status of fathers̢۪ rights in America today
--Are U.S. courts biased against fathers in custody battles?
--How fathers can successfully win custody of their children
--The true story behind Rabies Mom

Tune in tonight at 10:00 pm Eastern on Political Pistachio Radio (Link is good for the archive later as well).

Papa KORN

Jonathan Davis, the lead singer of KORN, was born in Bakersfield, California. During his teenage years he recorded demos in his father’s studio. Later, he joined a band called Sex Art, Which also included Ryan Shuck (the guitarist of the current band Orgy). Sex Art was performing in a club one night when at the time L.A.P.D. was also performing which had James Shaffer and Brian Welch (Munky and Head of Korn) saw Jonathan Davis singing, and asked him to join their band Creep. After Jon got the job they later became Korn.

Jonathan's father, Rick Davis, first worked in the music industry with Glenn Campbell. He spent several years working for and learning from Gary S. Paxton (Alley Oop - and many other hits - Gary has been a Christian producer since the 1970's).

Rick Davis spent over 25 years in the music industry, touring, recording, managing, and then mentoring.

Rick's very successful brother, Mike Davis, is the Senior VP of Entertainment for Universal Theme Parks, Japan, and he is a former VP of entertainment for Disney.

Rick Davis' final tour was working for Ringo Starr on his 1989/90 All Star Band Tour.

Rick had a lifetime close working relationship with the late Buck Owens, operating Buck's recording studio for 16 years.

Jonathan Davis is my second cousin (once removed?). Rick is my mom's cousin. When Rick and Mike Davis were kids one of their strong musical influences was my grandfather. Grandpa loved gadgets and guitars, and he loved to show everyone how it all worked. Mike took to the guitar and musical side, and Rick was more into the gadgets. In the end, both brothers broke into the music industry, Mike as a singer, and Rick became involved in the production end of the industry.

I last spoke with Rick in person at my grandfather's funeral years ago. Jonathan will always be to me that quiet little kid that I ignored at family get togethers. Little did I know that the young man that studied to be a mortician in college would be the front man for one of the biggest rock bands in history.

Recently, I was thinking about doing a show on my Political Pistachio Radio about how the music industry and world of politics affect each other. When the idea formulated in my mind, the first person I thought of to request as a knowledgeable guest regarding the subject was Rick Davis (Papa KORN).

So, Monday night, after my guest hosting on the Andrea Shea King show, Political Pistachio Radio's guest is Rick Davis, the father of Jonathan Davis, to discuss how the music industry and the political cockroaches influence each other. Join us at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.

Back To Basics for the Republican Party

Among Conservatives the rumblings are constantly about how the Republican Party has left us, moving toward the left, using "Compassionate Conservatism" as an excuse to inject big government into the party. The Republican Party leadership is hardly conservative, and the current nomination for President of the United States, John McCain, is barely better than his two Democrat Party opponents.

The Republican Party has lost its way, and if it is not salvaged soon, the GOP will go the way of the Whigs.

A handbook for Republicans who feel in their heart that the basics of the Republican Party have been lost is on the bookshelves of bookstores today. Back to Basics for the Republican Party is a handbook for Republicans that explains how we need to return to our roots. The author of the book is Michael Zak.

Back to the Basics for the Republican Party is an acclaimed history of the Grand Ol' Party from the civil rights perspective, as well as recognizing the founding principles of the United States. Michael Zak believes that we can benefit greatly from knowing and appreciating the Republican Party's heritage.

Michael Zak is a popular speaker to Republican organizations around the country, and his book has been cited by Clarence Thomas in a Supreme Court decision. Hundreds of articles by Mr. Zak are available on the Grand Old Partison blog each day, celebrating 154 years of Republican heroes and heroics.

Tonight, Michael Zak is my guest on Political Pistachio Radio tonight at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.

When Death Returned

A neurologist broke the news to us . . . "As much as a surprise it is that you survived and have healed as well as you have, your condition is worsening and it is doubtful you will live beyond the age of 30."

After news like that, Mrs. Pistachio and I had to do a lot of soul searching. I was already suffering seizures again, limping on my damaged knee, deaf in my left ear with a constant ringing in it driving me batty, suffering from neck pain because of vertebrae damage, and struggling with all of the other affects of the left temporal fracture to my head. But now, the head trauma has progressed, and the medical community proclaimed that death for me was on the horizon. . .

Listen tonight to my Personal Pistachio episode to listen to how we took the news, and what our next move as a couple would be. The show airs tonight at 9pm Eastern.

The Origin of the Species by Darwin, and Ben Stein's Movie, "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed"

When I recommended that people go out and see Ben Stein's Movie, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, which is in theaters now, the readers of Political Pistachio erupted into all kinds of opinions. In the comment section of Political Pistachio alone the following discussion took place:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Doug. Read the selfish gene by richard dawkins, it is an excellent book and explains how evolution works in an amazing way.
You can see evolution in action in the world around us eg. the flu virus, that evolves new strains every few years that humans are not naturally protected against.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doug,

So you do not believe in evolution at all?

Let me ask a question. If you were able to leave earth for 100,000,000 years and then returned, would you expect to find no adaptations or changes in the animal species that live here?
lordbrownmouse Email 04.17.08 - 3:00 pm #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously there are some adjustments in nature. Survival of the fittest, and all that. However, I do not subscribe to the theories of evolution beyond the basic adaptions in nature - and I am in full belief that there is a Creator. There is too much information and proven data that is in opposition to most of the Evolutionary Theories - and after all, like Creation, Evolutionary theories are unproven, hence the reason they are "theories".
Douglas V. Gibbs Email Homepage 04.17.08 - 10:32 pm #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Survival of the fittest?
a Email 04.17.08 - 10:57 pm #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But lots of basic adaptations over millions of generations is evolution. lbm
lordbrownmouse Email 04.18.08 - 10:59 am #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Certain Aspects of adaption are an inevitable part of life, but does it explain the origin of life? Can the origin of life truly be from a lack of intelligent design? Can Darwinism declare how life began without using the words "perhaps" and "may"?
Douglas V. Gibbs Email Homepage 04.18.08 - 4:04 pm #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember the origin of life is the simplest single cell life form you can imagine - don't you think there is a possibility that the conditions for this could occur in a planet of volcanoes, earthquakes and meteors without intellgent design?
lordbrownmouse Email 04.19.08 - 4:25 am #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darwinism doesn't explain the origin of life, it explains the evolution of life forms - it never meant to. Science doesn't answer religious questions. Also, Darwinism is over 100 years old, and scientific methods have changed greatly since then, and there's so much
more to the laws of evolution then just Darwinism.

Survival of the fittest is the most relevant aspect of old time Darwinism.
a Email 04.19.08 - 11:30 am #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Darwinism is no more the sum total of evolution science, than Eienstein's theory of relativity is the sum total of the laws and science of physics. Darwinism is somewhat dated.
a Email 04.19.08 - 11:39 am #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if Darwinism doesn't explain the origin of life, only the evolution of life forms - and it was never meant to, as you state, then why, pray-tell, is the book by Darwin called "The Origin of Species"? Besides, this movie is not really about whether or not certain aspects of Darwinism are acceptable or not acceptable, but that Darwinism is the only scientific theories allowed to be put forth in academia - and scientific evidence or theories regarding Intelligent Design is suppressed. . . Why is that?
Douglas V. Gibbs Email Homepage 04.19.08 - 4:25 pm #

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see, it sparked a lot of discussion. But why is it such a volatile issue? And why is the mere mention of an Intelligent Designer enough to get people all up in arms? Is the possibility of an Intelligent Designer that much of a threat to science? I always thought that science was about endless possibilities, and pursuing the evidence to support any idea through the scientific method. Problem is, regardless of the data and evidence acquired regarding Intelligent Design, the Scientific Community suppresses it, and blacklists any scientist that even dares mention Intelligent Design. . . in fact, the wall put up by Science against those that support the possibility of an Intelligent Designer is not much unlike the Berlin Wall built to keep out any dissenting opinion by the Communists.

So, is this an issue about Darwinism? Or is it about Freedom?

Well, all of you out there that find this an important topic that needs to be discussed, tonight on Political Pistachio Radio I am going to be joined by Andrea Shea King, Sunday Night Host of the Andrea Shea King Show on WDBO AM 580 on the Space Coast in Florida, as well as a fellow Blog Talk Radio host, to discuss this matter. We both saw the movie yesterday morning when it was released, and encourage all of those who have an interest in this issue to listen to the show, and participate in the discussion. . . Join us on Political Pistachio Radio Tonight at 10PM Eastern Time!

A Call From Afghanistan

Blog Talk Radio recieved a treat during last night's Political Pistachio Radio Show. Last night on Political Pistachio Radio my guest was Angie Heslen, the Director of Operations for PCSPortico.com. PCS Portico dot com is a resource for the over 400,000 military members and their families that make a Permanent Change of Station each year, as well as a great resource for veteran's and retirees. PCS Portico dot com offers over 40 categories for business listings, and 75% of their gross revenue flows directly back into the military community through the employment of spouses, veterans, and retirees, as well as donations to several military charities. In fact, PCSPortico.com donates 10% of each advertisement sale to military charities. The site offers information on local businesses surrounding the hundreds of major U.S. military installations worldwide, and the site provides an invaluable service to active duty military servicemembers and dependents all in one site.

The interview with Angie was informative, and encouraging, and a real treat was added about halfway through the show. Angie Heslen called us from Germany, and her husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan near the Pakistan border. He called into the show to encourage his wife, thank Political Pistachio for having her on, and to say a few words about his deployment and how thankful he and his fellow troops are to members of the New Media like Political Pistachio for our support of the troops and the mission. I feel honored that such fine personnel are out there defending freedom, and protecting America. As I told him on my show, only my disabilities and non-deployable status keeps me from joining these fine men and women of the United States Military. I, myself, am a U.S. Navy Veteran.

And Thursday Night's show is not the only great one you missed. Recently we have discussed:

The One Year Anniversary of the Virginia Tech Shooting, and the discussions that have resulted,

Globalism vs. Globalization - What's the Difference?,

The Life of Charlton Heston, and the Importance of the Second Ammendment,

Tibet and China, The Year 2012, The Minnesota School of Islam, The Battle of Trafalgar if it happened today with all of the Political Correctness,

Interview With Walid Shoebat, The Islamic Terrorist that became a Christian,

And what, you may ask, is coming up on Political Pistachio Radio in the future? Well, here are a few of our upcoming shows:

The story that the liberal left has jumped all over of the Honorably discharged vet ordered back to Iraq despite disability; discussing movies "Expelled" (Ben Stein's documentary about the loss of freedom, and the suppression of any scientific discussion regarding Intelligent Design in Academia) and "Under the Same Moon" (Hollywood's gift of opinion regarding the illegal alien invasion, unfortunately, this one uses the political hot button of illegal immigration in a cleverly worked tale that demonizes White American Culture, the rule of law, and will be best remembered for the line, "First they screwed the Indians, then they screwed the slaves, and now they're screwing us Mexicans!" With the surging emotional momentum created by this film that will be most appreciated by those who share its political view, perhaps another overstuffed tale such as this will emerge for the gays too. . .jeeeez!)

Kitty Foth-Regner was a feminist in full and happy control of a god-free life - - but when her mother developed a fatal illness, she set out to determine if there really is a God - - her findings changed her life, and her politics, forever. She is the author of Heaven Without Her: A Desperate Daughter's Search for the Heart of Her Mother's Faith.. check out her book, "Heaven without Her."

Alan Keyes has announced a break with the GOP. He is a conservative, Christian, and Reaganite. . . and his influence in Conservatism is felt accross the board - Join us as we have the opportunity to interview this Great American! Read and learn more about Alan Keyes at Alan Keyes dot com.

The Mindset of the Islamic Jihad, and How To Defeat It

Walid Shoebat was born in Bethlehem of Judea, Israel. As a young man, he became a member of the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization), and participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel. He was later imprisoned in the Russian Compound, Jerusalem's central prison for incitement and violence against Israel.

After his release from the Russian Compound, Walid Shoebat continued his life of terrorism, violence, and rioting in Bethlehem and on the Temple Mount. After entering the United States, he worked as a counselor for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago while continuing his anti-Israel activities. During that time he became disenchanted with the PLO as being to moderate, and joined the Muslim Brotherhood (forerunner of the terrorist organization Hamas) and was trained for the expected coming Islamic Jihad in America.

In 1993 Walid experienced a spiritual journey after a challenge from his Christian wife. While studying both the Holy Bible and secular history he came to the realization that all he had been taught about Jews and Christians was a lie. Convinced he had been on the side of evil, he became an advocate for his former enemy, and against terrorism.

After speaking around the world and in the media about his life and experiences, as well as his unique position and insight as someone who was part of the Jihadist movements, there are forces challenging his credibility in an attempt to silence him. Tonight Walid Shoebat joins Political Pistachio to discuss these recent attacks against his credibility. Join us at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific on Political Pistachio Radio.

Political Pistachio Radio discusses Obama, homosexuality, Islam, Illegal Aliens, Racial Issues, and Military Separation

On Monday I had a powerful program that dealt with how Islam and the Homosexual Agenda are both using Political Correctness to silence Christianity. Are Christians equipped to handle the onslaught? Listen to the show HERE.

Tonight my guest is Mary Beth Brown, bestselling author and speaker. She is the author of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling book, Hand of Providence: The Strong and Quiet Faith of Ronald Reagan. In 1988, with her husband, she founded Citizens United, one of America's most effective and recognized citizen advocacy organizations. She has been a guest on numerous TV and radio shows including CNN, FOX News, The O'Reilly Factor, Brit Hume, MSNBC, and others. Now she is stepping up to Political Pistachio Radio. Listen tonight as we discuss the campaign of Barack Obama at 10:00pm Eastern/7:00pm Pacific (or you can check the archive as well later) HERE.

Thursday Night at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific, Marc Maxwell joins us. He is the author of Surviving Military Separation. Marc Maxwell will be calling us from Germany where he is a Department of Defense Guidance Counselor who works daily with deployed personnel and their families. The former Army Airborne Ranger is the recipient of several awards, including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Listen to tomorrow night's show live (or catch the archive later) HERE.

Have you seen the article moving around the internet called The Racist History of the Democratic Party? The author of that piece is also the author of the articles, "Freedom of Speech For Everyone Except The Clergy," and "I don't support Obama Because of my Faith & Not Because of His Race." His book Unfounded Loyalty answers the question: Why are most blacks in America Democrats? despite the fact that for over 150 years, blacks were victims of terrorist attacks by the Democrats and their Klan supporters, including lynchings, beatings, rapes and mutilations; on the issue of slavery, the Democrats literally gave their lives to expand it - the Republicans gave their lives to ban it; and how many believed the Democrats had a change of heart and fell in love with blacks. To the contrary, history reveals the democrats didn't fall in love with black folks, they fell in love with the black vote knowing this would be their ticket into the white house. His latest book, Unveiling the whole Truth discusses what the media failed to tell American voters. Listen to my interview of Reverend Perryman HERE.

Next week watch for Al Garza, the Executive Director of the Minute Man Project to join us, as well as former Palestinian Terrorist turned Christian, Walid Shoebat.

The Toughest Issues on Political Pistachio Radio

Coming up on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 my guest will be Mary Beth Brown, bestselling author and speaker whose New York Times and USA Today bestselling book, Hand of Providence: The Strong and Quiet Faith of Ronald Reagan is a powerful conservative look at the greatest president. Mary Beth Brown and her husband are the founders of Citizens United, one of America's most effective and recognized citizen advocacy organizations. Mary Beth Brown says that Barack Obama is dangerous in ways we don't even realize. He is capable of deflecting criticism and if elected will divide America. She has been a guest on numerous TV and radio shows including CNN, FOX News, The O'Reilly Factor, Brit Hume, MSNBC, and many others - - - now she is going to add Political Pistachio Radio to that list!

Then on Thursday night the topic is Surviving Military Separation on Political Pistachio. Marc Maxwell, Author, counselor and Servicemember joins us live from Germany to discuss his book "Surviving Military Separation."

Iraq War Vet for Congress versus Murtha, Dr. Corsi on the North American Union, and Is the U.S. funding terrorism?

The week ahead is exciting. Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio my guest is William Russell, Iraq War Veteran, and Candidate for the U.S. Congress. His opponent will be John Murtha. But Mr. Russell's campaign has been met with dirty tactics by the Murtha camp that knocked Bill off of the ballot, and an internal problem that left him momentarily without a campaign manager. Join us tonight at 10pm Eastern to discuss with him the difficulties of running against a dirty politician like John Murtha, and of course why it is so important for a conservative like William Russell to be voted back on the ballot on April 22, 2008 during the Pennsylvania Primary. Listen Here.

There is no show on Tuesday night. I will be in Arizona to attend a pre-season Angels baseball game, and afterward meet with a few bloggers in the area for dinner.

Dr. Jerome Corsi of World Net Daily joins us on Wednesday to discuss the rising problem of globalism, and the steps being taken to bring about a United North America in the form of a North American Union. Recently, in a press conference that was conducted in support of the Mexican Trucks Program, Dr. Corsi was banned from joining the news conference. Join us to hear what Dr. Corsi has to say about that, as well as the politicians that support a global alliance.

On Thursday we ask the question: Is the U.S. funding terrorism? I have invited James Hutchens, PhD, a former U.S. Military Chaplain who retired as a Brigadier General, and the President of the JerUSAlem Connection magazine to join Political Pistachio on Thursday.

Did you miss last night's Personal Pistachio? It was a powerful episode. I explained my automobile accident, my time in intensive care, my time in a deep coma, and my realization to why it all had happened to me. Catch the archive. . . you'll be glad you did.

Next week I am planning to have on the show Terry, a Christian from Ornaments of Grace to discuss her post "Does Anyone Even Care???".

I have also invited next week an undefeated amateur kickboxer, Scott Venrick, to discuss the misconceptions about kickboxing and mixed martial arts fighting in regards to its alleged contribution to the violence in society.

And don't forget tonight I co-host with Andrea Shea King, on Fridays I join MD Conservative on CIR Radio, and I co-host with Loki on Founding Truth on Saturdays as we travel through the U.S. Constitution.

God Bless,

The Indoctrination of our Children in Public Schools

As seen on Political Pistachio News:

Parents urged to boycott homosexual indoctrination - - - 'Day of Silence' in schools 'about coercing students to repudiate traditional morality.' What if homosexuals staged a huge promotion of that sexual lifestyle choice, and no one came to see it? That's exactly what a coalition of organizations is proposing for April 25, this year's "Day of Silence," which is sponsored in public schools across the nation to promote homosexuality. "It's outrageous that our neighborhood schools would allow homosexual activism to intrude into the classroom," said Buddy Smith of the American Family Association, one of a long list of organizations asking parents to keep their students home from school on that day.

Next on school agenda: Teaching communism - - - A new plan by a California lawmaker would allow schools to be used to promote the overthrow of the U.S. government, and let teachers in public district classrooms "inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism," according to a traditional values advocacy organization.

California Schools require only positive portrayals of homosexual, bisexual, transgender and other alternative lifestyle choices - - - Only months after a new state law effectively banned "mom" and "dad" from California schools, 600,000 students soon could be following them out the door because of what has been described as the "repudiation" of 2,000 years of Christian morality, according to leaders of a new campaign assembling education alternatives. The campaign is called California Exodus and is being headed by Ron Gleason, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Yorba Linda, who said while the country excels in social, economic, scientific and political accomplishments, it "gets low grades on the education of its children."

California Court Rules Parents Must Have Teaching Credentials to Home School Kids - - - "Parents do not have a constitutional right to home school their children," Justice H. Walter Croskey wrote in a Feb. 28 opinion for the 2nd District Court of Appeal. Noncompliance could lead to criminal complaints against the parents, Croskey said. The immediate impact of the ruling was not clear. Opponents said they will appeal. An estimated 166,000 students in California are home schooled, but it was unclear how many of them are taught solely by an uncredentialed parent. To earn a five-year preliminary teaching credential in California, a person must obtain a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and complete multiple examinations. Until now, California allowed home schooling if parents filed paperwork to establish themselves as small, private schools; hired a credentialed tutor; or enrolled their child in an independent study program run by an established school while teaching the child at home.

Monday night on Political Pistachio Radio my guest is Mike Donnelly, a spokesman with Home School Legal Defense Association, the largest homeschooling organization in the United States to discuss the above topics, and more! Join us at 10:00 PM Eastern Time on Blog Talk Radio.

Robert Peters, President of Morality in Media, Inc.

Morality in Media, Inc. was established in 1962 to combat pornography, but as the time has passed, standards of decency in the media are becoming harder and harder to maintain. Recently, Lindsay Lohan posed for a nude photo shoot as Marilyn Monroe, but the sexy layout was not for Playboy, or any other magazine known for photographs of nude women. The recreation of Marilyn Monroe's legendary last nude photo shoot was for the February 25, 2008 issue of New York Magazine. Peters, regarding this, said that this effort to recreate that photo shoot "pushes the envelope further than them all."

Tonight, Robert Peters is our guest on Political Pistachio Radio. Join us at 10pm Eastern to discuss the controversial topic of the creeping incrementalism of obscenity in America.

Kathleen Willey - Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton

Kathleen Willey, wife, mother, and Democratic Political Activist, was working as a White House volunteer when, in 1993, President Clinton sexually assaulted her in the Oval Office. On the same day, her husband of 23 years committed suicide. Four years later, she was drawn into the Paula Jones sexual harassment lawsuit and subsequently, the Monica Lewinsky scandal, when she was forced to testify against Bill Clinton. Now, she has been targeted by the Clintons for daring to tell the truth, becoming the focus of media smear campaigns, terror tactics, and witness intimidation.

Willey was also betrayed by Hillary Clinton, stating in her book, Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton, that Hillary Rodham Clinton also ". . . betrayed all of the women her husband abused when she brought her power to bear on her husband's prey."

Despite Hillary's husband's 20 years of infidelity, made famous when the Monica Lewinsky affair broke in 1998, she is now a Democratic presidential frontrunner with Bill by her side.

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio Kathleen Willey is our guest. She will explain years of accusations by women such as herself, Gennifer Flowers, etc. And we will discuss Mrs. Clinton's actions, and how she was willing to do whatever it took to ensure Bill Clinton's actions did not ruin their political careers. After all, for Hillary Clinton, it is all about power, and she is willing to do anything to reach the White House again.

Willey also says that her book contains explosive revelations that could damage Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, including accusations of campaign finance violations, new revelations about harassment and threats by the Clintons and their associates, and the identification of the person who threatened her just prior to her testimony against President Clinton - a man who turned out to be linked to the Clintons. Willey was also the target of an unusual house burglary that nabbed a manuscript of her book, while little else was taken from her home.

Now, Kathleen is warning that the Clinton Machine will sharpen its attacks on Obama, now that Hillary has been losing a string of primaries and caucuses to Senator Barack Obama. Willey has said that Hillary seeks to break Obama's momentum, "and we are going to see a lot more of the same Clinton tactics that I and a number of insiders have experienced."

Indeed, the Clinton Camp has launched a new "kitchen sink" strategy which intends to also go after pledged delegates, intended to get them to switch sides, regardless of state's caucus results. "In their desperation, they are creating another scenario for war within the Democratic Party."

Join us tonight at 10pm Eastern Time as we discuss this with Kathleen Willey on Political Pistachio Radio.

Victory Against Illegal Immigration!

Terry Funderburk is a roofer in South Carolina. He calls himself the Lone Protester, because when he protested against companies hiring illegal aliens, competitors that are putting him out of business by their actions, he was completely alone, aside from his son with a camera across the street. He was arrested for his protest as the illegals scattered. Now, after the long court battle, he has finally achieved victory. He is our guest tonight on Political Pistachio Radio.

Conservatives! Where has our American Conservatism Gone?

With conservatism in mind, first we need to tune in tonight to Andrea Shea King's Blog Talk Radio show tonight (with me as the co-host) as she welcomes Alfred Regnery, the publisher of The American Spectator. He's been part of the American conservative movement since childhood, when his father founded Regnery Publishing, the preeminent conservative publishing house. Al has chronicled the development of the conservative movement in his fascinating book UPSTREAM - the Ascendance of American Conservatism. Regnery is my guest tonight at 9pm Eastern Time/6pm Pacific. To listen, click here.

Then, after Andrea's show, Political Pistachio Radio will be interviewing Dr. Steve Sauerberg, the Republican Candidate in Illinois that will be running against Dick Durbin. Is he one of those conservatives we need in Congress? Will he be actively involved in downsizing the Federal Government? Where does he stand on the war? What is his economics background? Does he support the private ownership of guns by American Citizens? Is he pro-life? Will he be a force in defeating the socialism being thrust upon us by the liberal left? Or is he just another cowardly Republican that acts more leftist than conservative? The fireworks on Political Pistachio Radio begin when Andrea's show ends . . . at 10pm Eastern Time/7pm Pacific. Click here to listen live, or catch the archive later.

Dr. Jerome Corsi of World Net Daily

Dr. Corsi says that the Fed will lower the Dow to 8,000. According to Dr. Corsi’s article consumers should expect a deep recession because of a stealth methodology of the Federal Reserve to depress the market while lowering interest rates an an effort to stimulate economic growth. In other words, because the government is trying to manipulate the economy, they are ruining the economy! Dr. Jerome Corsi joins Political Pistachio tonight to discuss this economic disaster the Feds are creating. Join us at 10pm Easter/7pm Pacific.

Separation of Church and State

Debate tonight on Political Pistachio - and the Constitutionality of the argument will be brought to light by regular listener and caller, Loki. As a Christian, I believe that the idea of a Separation of Church and State is misunderstood, and not Constitutional. Oh, and of course we will talk about the New Hampshire Primary as well.

Tune in at 10pm Eastern tonight at Political Pistachio Radio!

Personal Pistachio - The Night We Met

A long time ago, in a city not far away, Mrs. Pistachio kissed Doug for the first time. It was the beginning of a love affair that continues today. But the road has not always been paved with gold. The beginnings were the first dips of a major roller coaster ride that nearly split the two apart many times, only to smooth out over the last few years.

Installment one of the relationship that people wish to learn more about will be broadcast over Political Pistachio Radio on Blog Talk Radio on Sunday, January 6, 2008 - 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific. No Politics. No discussions about Blogging. No mention of the War on the Islamic Jihad. The Sunday broadcasts are only personal - a journey through the years of The Pistachios.

The first episode is called: The Night We Met. Little did we know on that night that in less than three years we would be married, have a child, and I would die in an accident on my way to my Navy Sea-going Command. The night we met was the scene of our first dance, our first kiss, and the beginning of a rocky relationship that would nearly destroy our relationships with other people. . . and, the night we met was the night that a heart broke, and only a couple days before my heart broke as well. Tune in to find out - Personal Pistachio Debut.

And as an added note: I would like to thank all of the listeners for making Political Pistachio the third most listened to Conservative Show on Blog Talk Radio. Thank you. Your support makes it great.

A Tribute to Ronald Reagan, Debating the Debates, Iowa Caucus, Melissa Hart, and Personal Pistachio

On January 2, 2007 the Political Pistachio Radio Show began with a ten minute tribute to Ronald Reagan. Then, in anticipation of the Iowa Caucus, Mrs. Pistachio asked me, "What is a Caucus?" and "What's the difference between a Caucus and a Primary?" I attempted to answer the best I could, and received tremendous help from one of my listeners, a woman from Oregon that calls herself Flag Gazer. Then, the debate over the debates happened. Andrea Shea King gave a spirited argument regarding Fox News Channel's decision to disallow Hunter and Ron Paul to participate in the upcoming forum they plan to have - - - and MDConservative was not in agreement - - - and my opinion was somewhere in between.

On January 3, 2007 Pennsylvania 4th District Congressional Candidate Melissa Hart joined Political Pistachio Radio. The interview was fantastic (oh, and at the beginning of the show I cleared up the debate from the night before a little).

On January 5, 2007 The Wyoming Caucus and "After Iowa" will be discussed.

and Finally, on Sunday, January 6, 2007 Personal Pistachio will premiere. First episode? The night we met.
